The Lifeplan FuneralPlan Bond is a simple, safe and effective way to put money aside and accumulate funds to help meet the cost of funeral expenses. The FuneralPlan Bond is capital guaranteed by Lifeplan and has valuable tax and social security advantages.
A FuneralPlan Bond is very flexible. It does not need to be tied to a particular funeral director. Clients may, if they wish, nominate or assign their FuneralPlan Bond to a funeral director of their choice at any time after their FuneralPlan Bond has opened. However, funds cannot be withdrawn.
The initial contribution can be as little as $500 or as much as $11,250 but must not exceed the anticipated funeral expenses. New limit effective as at 1st July 2011.
