Australian Unity Investments (AUI) has made three new appointments, including the creation of a new position of capital markets manager, further strengthening its support activities.
Ms Carolyn Ireland has been appointed as capital markets manager, Ms Linda D’Intino as senior compliance manager, and Mr David Walker as product manager.
Ms Ireland will report to Ms Kirsty Dullahide, head of portfolio management, in the new role. Ms Dullahide said that the position was created to strengthen AUI’s capital management capability for its unlisted property trusts by focusing on active management and enhancement of the debt arrangements.
“AUI’s property asset management area has grown significantly in recent years to become a billion dollar business, and is expected to continue expanding over the next few years. We have therefore augmented our existing capital management capability with Carolyn’s appointment,” Ms Dullahide said.
Ms Ireland has 20 years experience in financial services. She previously was with GBS Venture Partners as chief financial officer and has also worked with Macquarie Bank as associate director – banking and property, and with KPMG as audit manager. Ms D’Intino, who has worked as a compliance manager since 1990, joins AUI from Chimaera Financial Group where she was head of compliance. Her previous experience includes time with Equipsuper, ANZ Lenders Mortgage Insurance, and National Australia Bank.
Ms D’Intino is a member of the Australasian Compliance Institute and fellow member of Financial Services Institute of Australasia. Mr Walker was previously with Orchard Funds Management and has also worked with InvestorWeb Research, Navigator Australia, and Winchcombe Carson Financial Planning. At AUI, he will be responsible for helping identify opportunities for new products that meet changing investor needs, as well as ensuring that they meet regulatory and market requirements.
