Q How secure is the log in section of the website?
A
The website has been designed to be secure provided you do not pass on your username and password to others.
Q What version of internet browser can I use to see the Australian Unity Investments website and secure login section?
A
Internet Explorer version 6, 7 or 8 and also Mozilla Firefox 2 or 3 and Safari 3. Other internet browsers will not provide optimum performance.
 
Q Why does it ask me to change my password when I log in?
A
We have designed our site to be secure so that when you log in for the first time it will ask you to change your password.
Q What happens if I have forgotten my password?
A
When you go to log into your account, click on the link located directly below the login area, as long as you have completed your secret questions and entered a current email address, you will be sent a temporary password which will allow you to gain instant access to your account. If you have not yet set up your secret questions or have forgotten them, you will have to call one of our Customer Service Representatives for assistance.
Q I walked away from my computer for 45 minutes and now it wants me to log in, why?
A
We have designed our system to be secure, so after 10 minutes of no activity it will request you to log in again.
Q Can I perform transactions online?
A
Yes, you can change your personal, banking, distribution, RPP or RSP details held with Australian Unity Investments, online.
We are progressively rolling out new transaction functionality and will advise as more options become available
 
Q If I am an investor, how do I get my login details to access the secure area of the website?
A
Access is currently available to all investors who soley hold unit trust accounts, If you do not have access to your online account, call us and we will be able to issue you with your log in details.
If you hold a bond account we will contact you shortly with your log in details when we begin the next stage of our rollout.
Q Am I eligible to use the investor website?
A
The initial rollout has been focused on investors who soley hold unit trust investments.
Q If I have signatories on my account, will they receive log in details?
A
No, only the account owner will receive log in details, being a user name and temporary password.
Q If I have any questions and need to contact the call centre, which reference number should I quote?
A
Always quote your Account Number when contacting the call centre to ensure your query can be resolved as quickly as possible
Q What sort of information can I view on the investor portal?
A
You can check your account balances with Australian Unity Investments, review your personal investment information and personal account transaction history. You can now also make changes to certain areas of your account, for more information on this added functionality please review the FAQ related to conducting transactions online.
Q If I would like to update my details, how would I do this?
A
You would navigate to the My Details section of the investor portal, from here you can view the details we hold. If these are incorrect, simply click on Edit Details, you can now adjust most of the details displayed.
Q How often are the unit prices updated?
A
Unit prices are refreshed throughout the day and the investment details screen shows the date of the last unit price.

Q I don't want my adviser to see my account details
A
Due to the agreement you have signed with your adviser we can only remove your adviser's access to view your information if you chose to either change your adviser, or request to proceed without an adviser.
Q I changed my details online but when I logged back in, they have not been updated
A
Please allow up to 5 business days to allow for updates to be made to our system and reflected onto your online account.
Q I don't have a bank account registered to my account, how can I set this up?
A
Currently only changes to pre-registered bank accounts are permitted online, if you wish to register your bank account for the first time, you will need to call our investor services line.
Q I have previously logged into my AUI account online through the portal but this time I am being asked to enter Secret Questions, why is this?
A
All users are being asked to enter Secret Questions and Answers to allow us to increase security and ensure privacy of adviser and investor accounts. In addition to this, to allow investors and advisers to gain access to their accounts in instances where they have forgotten their passwords.
Q I set up my Secret Questions, but now I have forgotten the answers, what can I do?
A

Q Why am I being asked for my email address when I enter my secret questions ? Will I be inundated with marketing material or spam?
A
Email addresses collected when you enter your secret questions will only be used to send out temporary passwords in instances where you forget your password.
Q I don't have an email address, how do I complete the Secret Questions page?
A
The entry of an email address is compulsory. A number of free internet based email services are available for you to set up your own email address such as http://www.hotmail.com http://www.yahoo.com and http://www.gmail.com. In addition to these, most Internet Service Providers (ISP’s) provide subscribers with free email accounts; please check with your ISP regarding this service.
Q I set up my watchlist, but I no longer invest in one of these funds, how do I delete this one?
A
Simply click the check box next to whichever fund(s) you wish to delete from your watchlist and click on the ‘Remove’ button above your list. This will then remove the funds you no longer wish to remain in your watchlist.
Q I set up a watchlist but now I would prefer not to use this and would like to see the whole product list.
A
There are two methods to remove a watchlist, either remove all of your funds in your watchlist or you can delete the cookies stored in your internet browser.
You will need to go into your internet browser settings and clear the cookies, with Internet Explorer 6, this can be done by going to: Internet Options -> General -> Delete Cookies -> Delete Files -> OK
