Waurn Ponds Shopping Centre is an open configured sub-regional shopping centre and is located at the intersection of Princes Highway and Pioneer Road, seven kilometres from the Geelong central business area.
The region’s steady population growth and the continued residential land sub divisions close to the Centre are predicted to have a positive impact on retailer performance.
In 2007, the Centre underwent a major expansion and refurbishment which increased the size of the Centre by one third and secured the Centre as the dominant retail centre in the area outside inner Geelong.

The Retail Property Fund has a right to acquire a future development on the adjacent farmland, which is expected to be anchored by a large Coles supermarket and a Kmart store.
